With core members from Fat White Family and Paranoid London, Warmduscher take that initial psychedelic post-punk acid house concoction and stretch it in even weirder directions.
The band’s debut album Welcome To Whale City is a lo-fi headbutt of filthy blues, krautrock grooves, weirdo doo-wop, funk, disco and psych-rock, all in a giddy, swirling half hour.
With assumed names like Mr Salt Fingers, Little Fingers, Lightning Jack and the Saulcano, you know it won’t be some po-faced rock gig – expect a short sharp shock to the system and the knowledge that you’ll need a shower after.
