Faith No More frontman Mike Patton’s label Ipecac is named after the drug that induces forceful vomiting, and hardcore noise act Daughters are one of the sickest bands on the roster.
Ipecac roped in the Rhode Island band for the 2018 album You Won’t Get What You Want, their first LP in eight years. It’s an endlessly inventive dark dive, channelling the nervy discord of Jesus Lizard and the avant-garde sonic experimentation of Scott Walker’s final act.
With a reputation for live transcendent catharsis, this could be the most intense gig of the week in Ireland, and that’s including Mayhem.
