Dave Clarke: Still kicking the doors in

The Baron of Techno returns to Dublin tonight to knock some shape into your Advent calendar with some DM boot kickdrums.

Get all your shopping done before tonight — it’ll be a late one, and tomorrow you can nurse it away with a few glasses of mulled wine.

Clarke is singular visionary who’s been knee deep in electronic since his teens. From his frantic cut-up early hours techno sets in clubs all over Ireland, to pop-up free shows in the Bernard Shaw and Pyg trawling through electro, new wave, hip-hop and goth, he’s got the keys to the city’s underground spaces.

Support is from Cailin, who’s shutting down a year that’s included her Boiler Room debut, Amsterdam Dance Event, Docklands Festival and the piledriving Circles night in Jam Park in October, supporting Jeff Mills and British Murder Boys.
